Nigerian consulate in Elizabeth
Elizabeth has no Nigerian consular office of its own. Its file belongs to the Consulate General of Nigeria in New York.
Which consulate covers Elizabeth
It makes no difference which office is nearest: New Jersey is assigned to New York and a file lodged elsewhere does not transfer.
Count on 19 miles and 35 min from Elizabeth. Only 4 of the 8 places in New Jersey are closer.
Also handled from New York, elsewhere in New Jersey: Newark (15 mi), East Orange (17 mi), Irvington (18 mi).
From Elizabeth, without travelling
None of this needs a journey:
- A visa application, begun online and finished at a private centre in Houston
- Police clearance certificate, requested from the Nigeria Police Force, never from a consulate
- Birth certificate, issued in Nigeria by the National Population Commission
