Nigerian consulate in Edison
There is no Nigerian consulate in Edison. The office that covers the city is the Consulate General of Nigeria in New York.
Which consulate covers Edison
Nigeria divides the country by state, and New Jersey goes to New York. That rule outranks the mileage.
Allow 56 min for the 35 miles between Edison and New York.
Same office, same state: Jersey City (7 mi), Newark (15 mi), East Orange (17 mi).
From Edison, without travelling
What happens online happens the same from anywhere:
- Nigerian visas, lodged at an external centre, never at a consulate
- National Identification Number, issued by the NIMC and needed before any passport application
- Police clearance certificate, requested from the Nigeria Police Force, never from a consulate
nigerianconsulates.us is an independent guide to Nigeria’s consular offices in the United States. We are not the Nigerian Embassy, any Consulate General, or any government body.
We do not book appointments and we do not sell them. Details are checked regularly and can change without notice: confirm with the office before you travel.
