Nigerian consulate in Evanston
Nigeria keeps no consulate in Evanston, and the Consulate General of Nigeria in New York is where the paperwork goes.
Which consulate covers Evanston
Nigeria divides the country by state, and Illinois goes to New York. That rule outranks the mileage.
Allow 15 h 16 min for the 807 miles between Evanston and New York.
Other Illinois places in the same position: Naperville (817 mi), Aurora (833 mi), Rockford (879 mi).
From Evanston, without travelling
Start with what can be settled from home:
- Nigerian visas, lodged at an external centre, never at a consulate
- Birth certificate, issued in Nigeria by the National Population Commission
- Consular registration, a form that costs nothing and takes minutes

We do not book appointments and we do not sell them. Details are checked regularly and can change without notice: confirm with the office before you travel.
