Nigerian consulate in Houston
There is no Nigerian consulate in Houston. The office that covers the city is the Consulate General of Nigeria in Atlanta.
Searching for a Nigerian consulate in Houston turns up several offices offering passport and visa services. None of them is a consulate. Nigeria has three consular offices in the United States and none is in Texas.
Two of those Houston addresses are not agencies, though, and the difference matters: Thebez Global Resources (2425 W Loop S) and OIS (9894 Bissonnet Street) both appear on the Atlanta consulate’s own website as the places to lodge a visa application.
They are the official route, not an alternative to it, and the consulate names a different one on each of its two pages. The visa guide sets out both.
Which consulate covers Houston
The split is by state, not by distance: all of Texas sits in the published district of Atlanta, wherever in the state you live.
Count on 811 miles and 14 h 58 min from Houston. Only 4 of the 15 places in Texas are closer.
Same office, same state: Spring (812 mi), Arlington (814 mi), Pearland (817 mi).
From Houston, without travelling
What happens online happens the same from anywhere:
- The passport application form, filled in and paid for online before any appointment exists
- National Identification Number, issued by the NIMC and needed before any passport application
- Police clearance certificate, requested from the Nigeria Police Force, never from a consulate
nigerianconsulates.us is an independent guide to Nigeria’s consular offices in the United States. We are not the Nigerian Embassy, any Consulate General, or any government body.
We do not book appointments and we do not sell them. Details are checked regularly and can change without notice: confirm with the office before you travel.
