Nigerian consulate in Buffalo
Buffalo has no Nigerian consular office of its own. Its file belongs to the Consulate General of Nigeria in New York.
Which consulate covers Buffalo
Nigeria divides the country by state, and New York goes to New York. That rule outranks the mileage.
It is 376 miles from Buffalo, roughly 7 h 55 min, so it pays to bundle errands into one trip.
Also handled from New York, elsewhere in New York: Brooklyn (10 mi), Queens (11 mi), Yonkers (15 mi).
From Buffalo, without travelling
None of this needs a journey:
- Nigerian visas, lodged at an external centre, never at a consulate
- Emergency Travel Certificate, posted to the consulate, with no counter visit
- Dual citizenship rules, worth reading before you take the US oath, not after
nigerianconsulates.us is an independent guide to Nigeria’s consular offices in the United States. We are not the Nigerian Embassy, any Consulate General, or any government body.
We do not book appointments and we do not sell them. Details are checked regularly and can change without notice: confirm with the office before you travel.
