Nigerian consulate in Brooklyn
There is no Nigerian consulate in Brooklyn. The office that covers the city is the Consulate General of Nigeria in New York.
Which consulate covers Brooklyn
What decides this is the state line, not the map. New York belongs to New York and there is no choosing another office.
Brooklyn to New York is 10 miles and about 25 min at the wheel, which puts it 2th of the 10 places this site lists in New York.
Same office, same state: Bronx (10 mi), Queens (11 mi), Yonkers (15 mi).
From Brooklyn, without travelling
What happens online happens the same from anywhere:
- Passport renewal, started on a website, with the counter only as the last step
- Consular registration, a form that costs nothing and takes minutes
- Emergency Travel Certificate, posted to the consulate, with no counter visit
nigerianconsulates.us is an independent guide to Nigeria’s consular offices in the United States. We are not the Nigerian Embassy, any Consulate General, or any government body.
We do not book appointments and we do not sell them. Details are checked regularly and can change without notice: confirm with the office before you travel.
