Which consulate covers Fort Wayne
It makes no difference which office is nearest: Indiana is assigned to New York and a file lodged elsewhere does not transfer.
It is 650 miles from Fort Wayne, roughly 12 h 22 min, so it pays to bundle errands into one trip.
Same office, same state: Evansville (862 mi), South Bend (705 mi), Indianapolis (715 mi).
From Fort Wayne, without travelling
What happens online happens the same from anywhere:
- A visa application, begun online and finished at a private centre in Houston
- Consular registration, a form that costs nothing and takes minutes
- Emergency Travel Certificate, posted to the consulate, with no counter visit
