Nigerian consulate in Madison
Nigeria keeps no consulate in Madison, and the Consulate General of Nigeria in New York is where the paperwork goes.
Which consulate covers Madison
Nigeria divides the country by state, and Wisconsin goes to New York. That rule outranks the mileage.
Allow 17 h 47 min for the 941 miles between Madison and New York.
Other Wisconsin places in the same position: Milwaukee (882 mi), Green Bay (997 mi).
From Madison, without travelling
Start with what can be settled from home:
- Nigerian visas, lodged at an external centre, never at a consulate
- Birth certificate, issued in Nigeria by the National Population Commission
- Consular registration, a form that costs nothing and takes minutes

We do not book appointments and we do not sell them. Details are checked regularly and can change without notice: confirm with the office before you travel.
