Nigerian consulate in Fairfax

Fairfax has no Nigerian consular office of its own. Its file belongs to the Nigerian Embassy in Washington, D.C.

Which consulate covers Fairfax

No Nigerian source assigns Virginia to a consulate. Washington, D.C. is the mission left over once New York and Atlanta publish theirs, and it is where Fairfax is handled in practice.

It is 20 miles from Fairfax, roughly 37 min, so it pays to bundle errands into one trip.

Also handled from Washington, D.C., elsewhere in Virginia: Alexandria (11 mi), Woodbridge (25 mi), Manassas (32 mi).

From Fairfax, without travelling

None of this needs a journey:

Passport renewal, started on a website, with the counter only as the last step
Police clearance certificate, requested from the Nigeria Police Force, never from a consulate
Birth certificate, issued in Nigeria by the National Population Commission

nigerianconsulates.us is an independent guide to Nigeria’s consular offices in the United States. We are not the Nigerian Embassy, any Consulate General, or any government body.

We do not book appointments and we do not sell them. Details are checked regularly and can change without notice: confirm with the office before you travel.
